1. GSA Federal Office | Miramar, FL

A stunning architectural building situated in the natural historic everglades landscape was the visionary idea behind this groundbreaking project.  C+R in collaboration with architects Krueks + Sexton developed the Site Design Criteria and Site Concept. Under the GSA’s Design Excellence Program, the design utilizes a natural cross section leading from open water to herbaceous grasslands and buffer zones. Native Cypress trees and Sabal Palm islands are placed within the wetland areas, while structures are placed in the upland hardwood hammock environment.  The groundbreaking project received both LEED certification and Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES) certification in 2015!

2. Miami Children’s Courthouse | Miami, FL

This much anticipated County Courthouse serves the needs of children and families and the design pays close attention to their sensitivities. Playful elements are integrated with the urban context of the site as well as providing a visual tie in to the public park immediately to the south of the project. Special attention is given to shade, light colored pavements for reflectivity and reduction of the heat island effect for LEED certification.

3. UM Frost School of Music (Phase 1A) | Coral Gables, FL

The Frost Music Studios is the first phase of a Master plan for the School of Music that C+R developed with HOK. The planting is lush and tropical in keeping with the rest of the University, with the addition of native and drought tolerant plants for water conservation.  The paving design uses musical notes in soft subtle colors which depict the first bar of the University’s Alma Mater.
